I wish I could find an older picture but, 3 years ago, there was at least 14-15 pine trees that would have been in this picture. We are almost done purging the course of hundreds of pine trees that were planted in the 50's and 60's that were hindering the health of the golf course. A bunch of our greens were ringed by them and they kept air and sun from the greens. The green you see there, like many others, is way healthier since the removal of the trees.
The only kind of trees we plant anymore are deciduous. No more ugly, grass killing pine trees.
