Yeah b/c Michael Jordan having mistresses, a major gambling problem that caused him to "want to play baseball," and the potential connection to his dad being murdered tainted his legacy?

Tiger will be just fine.

Its a forgiving society, and let's not forget the majority of people who are reporting on the story are former athletes, GMs, or journalists with "sources" who are well aware this kind of stuff happens all the time.

I GUARANTEE some of the athletes you grew up idolizing had some skeletons too. They just may not have been reported on.

I think their are going to be some hecklers early on, but with golf being a "gentleman's sport," look for the PGA to back Tiger, and throw out anyone that is over the top with their jeers.

He has proven over his career to be mentally tough, and I think that is what is going to not only repair his image, but allow him to focus, and probably become more driven than ever before to be great.

Look at how fast people "forgot" about A-Rod's postseason failures and steroid use. All it took was one good/great postseason, and a ring.

Tiger doesn't owe us shit, but most people are "happy" with a simple "sorry."
