Tiger is a GREAT golfer. A black man in a white man's sport.

Tiger didn't make Tiger look like a wholesome guy. The media did.

We always saw him yelling at fans, and abrasive towards most of the other pro golfers for years. Most of the PGA vets don't like Tiger at all. He's always been an ass, but the media has always portrayed him as something different.

He always tried to live a private life, and until now, he succeeded. That doesn't mean he was trying to show he was perfect. It was moreso that he didn't want to be bothered. He fired people in his inner circle over the years if they talked about Tiger behind the scenes.

Sponsors threw money his way b/c he is the face of golf, and the most recognizable athlete in the world right now.

Its not any different than Michael Jordan, Shaq, Bo Jackson, and many others over the years.

Just b/c you see someone act a certain way on camera, doesn't mean that is their true persona.

Also, what makes you think that Tiger does broadcast everything he does? Maybe he is geniune, maybe he isn't, but there's no way of knowing just how much time and money he's put into everything if he has been so private, and noone has talked on his behalf until all these mistresses came out, realizing they could get paid for a story.

I'm not condoning Tiger, or even defending him really, but you seem to take a hardline stance as if you know the man.

None of us do, so we shouldn't jump to conclusions if we don't have all the facts.

What we do know is Tiger is a great golfer, has made a lot of people rich, and completely tore apart his family by repeatedly fucking around on his wife.

Beyond that, its pure speculation.
Tiger is a brand. To say just the media crafted his image is far from the truth. When you're as big as he is, you're mindful about everything you do. His sponsors and he have been in control of his image since day one. The media aided it but he's always been in the drivers seat. He's shown us what he wanted to and he's shown us only what we'd expect from him.

He's made far more money selling his image then he has sinking putts. Everything about tiger was a perfect picture until the crash. Something like that doesnt just happen, its created. Say I'm speculating or whatever but the guy has the talent and he and his people wrote the perfect back story to go with it and spoon fed it to us all.

Why were people in the inner circle fired? Maybe they all knew what was going on so to uphold that image and not risk a story of his transgressions leaking out, they were cut off and the people who kept their mouth shut were allowed to stick around.

Sponsors can throw all the money they want at you but that doesn't mean he has to take it. They picked him because he represents an image they want people to see in their brand and he picked them because they gave him something to build his image up. The credibility and status that come with the companies he's chosen to align himself with add that much more to the tiger mystique.

I've never asked or wanted tiger to broadcast everything or draw attention to himself. I'm just saying that hardly anybody without an invested interest in Tiger has come out to support him. People have just let him fall. You even said yourself most pga vets think he's an ass. Where are the people to back him up?

Maybe this time it really is the media dumping on tiger and running with the slut of the day. Maybe there is good tiger stories out there trying to be heard but until they are, I'm gonna call it like I see it and the way I see it is this guy crafted an image and cashed in on it until it all came to crashing down. A guy just doesnt wake up and decide to fuck half the population of montana behind his wifes back. Its something he's been doing for a long time.

The longer he waits to come out, the more time his marketing and pr army has time to figure out how to properly relaunch tiger so they can limit the damage as much as possible. Not to soften the blow to tiger the person but tiger the brand. It also proves to me that Tiger doesnt make uncalculated moves, as we've all talked about before millions and billions of dollars are at stake here. He could have ended it day one but didnt want to have his image tarnished and tried to cover it up. He finally lost control of his image and we saw the first glimpse of the real tiger which isnt so pretty.
