Tiger is a brand. To say just the media crafted his image is far from the truth.

The media *did* craft his image (one as a son with a father's support; one as a loner who had goofy-looking teeth while he wasn't completely 'Asian' or all 'Afro'). He didn't have control over how many cameras were on the back nine.

Yes, he did bitch and whine at cameras and wasn't the most gentlemanly golfer on the course. (much to others' chagrin)

Hopefully, this will teach him that he *could* end up right alongside Barry Bonds as far as 'greats' who hate their fans go.
