Why don't you just pile on the guy? He had a bad day, He probably is a beginner.
No one here believes any of your bullshit about averaging 300 yards from the tee, or being a scratch golfer on championship courses, so we're actually laughing more at you than we are him.

You're projecting yourself as being quite a large prick. I don't wonder anymore why you end up playing with strangers.

Buy or don't buy. That's the beauty of this whole setup. Since I don't give a damn about a single person on this board, I couldn't give a rat's ass what anybody thinks (and thusly have no reason to bother being tactful or dishonest). For years I put up with little piles of shit that questioned who I worked for (both on ESPN and here) and that eventually stopped. Now it's the fact that I happen to be a decent golfer. Ask me how much I care...or better yet, don't--the answer is a few lines above. I play with strangers because I recently moved halfway across the country and don't know many people out here yet (and because strangers can be really interesting people).

And it's no coincidence that the 2 best golfers on this board--pwr and I--largely agree on just about everything having to do with this game. If you want sour grapes, hey knock yourself out.

154 doesn't seem possible to me. I don't know anybody who's ever shot that. Christ, my WORST round was a 103 and I was so godawful back then it wasn't even funny. Hell, my DAUGHTER wouldn't shoot that. I was more musing as to whether this was an exagerration of sorts or whether it got to a point where just for the sake of fun he started intentionally boning holes.
