caddy's are a valuable tool. In the US they are generally little punk kids (even at oak hills), however at Arcadia they aren't..and when I played in Ireland they were kinda old guys, that was damned near the coolest because those doods had caddied those courses for 30 years, it was a real treat to be honest....that trip was outstanding.
old man played royal st. georges and you had to have a caddy. he said he would have one every round if he could. guy was telling him where to lay up, how the greens roll. he even said on that slopped fairway that none of the pros could hit that he should just hit a wedge off the tee because that way he would be warmed up with it because his next shot was gonna be in the rough.
