OK, I 've finally straightened out my driver and 3 wood. I'm using a little stronger grip and it seems to be working, though I do hit a hook occasionally.

My problem is that when I hit both clubs really good, my 3 wood is about 20 yds further than my driver.

Do clubs wear out like softball bats?

My driver is a Big Bertha "Warbird", it's about 10 years old.

I have a feeling it's more the carpenter than the hammer.
