Default Why I Keep Going Back
Every round it seems like there's a shot that gets you to go back and play the next weekend, no matter how bad you did. I shot 84 yesterday, my new swing is slipping away from me, good thing I have a lesson Tuesday.

Anyway, on 17 I hit driver because the wind was blowing pretty good in our face. It's a dogleg right. My buddies didn't clear the ditch guarding the fairway so I figured I'd better hit driver. Killed it and it went through the fairway beside the back of the 14th green behind this tall tree.

One group of the A players who play behind us was on 14. One of them says "Look like you've got a dilemma". I was 135 yards out.

I knew a pitching wedge was the biggest club I could clear the tree with, so I decided to use it and come up short, chip on and try to make par. There was a lull in their action on the green so I told them heads up in case I hit the tree.

I hit that Titleist right square in the nuts, 10 feet from the flag. I got applause from the players on the green, along with several "Damn what a shot" exclamations.

Of course I missed the putt.
