You started it with the grandpa swing reference, tough guy.

I hear and read a lot about people hitting it 300. There's a pond 300 yards from the tee on a hole I play every weekend. I generally hit 3 wood there to get to 100 yards from the green and play it safe. I have hit the 3 wood past the left of the pond 40 yards from the green twice before. That doesn't mean I do it regularly.

The only guy I've played with that hit it 300 regularly and kept it in play used to play on the hooters tour and is a hell of a golfer.
