After yesterday I guess my bullshit alert sensors are on high. This cat with a ponytail came up behind us and asked if he could join us on 10. We had a money game and didn't want him to but to be nice we said yes. He hacked around and we left him.
He caught up with us on our second shots on 11 after he had hit his tee shot way out of bounds and then hit his next shot from out of bounds.

12 he hits it out of bounds again, we tell him to hit again off the tee, you can't go hitting balls out of people's yards and you don't get your distance. I explain the different colored stakes to him. He hacks and hacks. Has a Large Marge driver (Big Bertha clone) and some old Wilson irons.

Then he starts telling us about how he usually hits it 270 and was a single digit handicap when he lived in Florida and played every day but since he couldn't play but twice a week now he wasn't playing so good.

You should have seen this guy swing. Plus he acted like he was scared to hit the ball, his preshot routine had all the signs of a beginner. It took forever.
I don't take practice swings, don't want to waste the good ones... plus, I'm going to be swinging enough just to finish the round, no need doubling that on practice swings.
