1986 Masters was the best. Everyone thought he was washed up, done. With his son on the bag he wins the son of a bitch. What a great moment.

I've got some of Jack's books, maybe that's why I hit a straight ball or a power fade. I studied him and patterned my swing after his since I was a kid. I only got away from it after taking professional instruction (all the pros think they're smarter than Jack I guess).

I run in fear from his putting stance though, I'll admit it sure has always worked for Jack.
I was watching the '86 Masters with a bunch of college, golf buddies. One of whom is from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, but who has always been, inexplicably, a Vikings fan.

Yeah, we've all had fun with THAT.

Anyway ... He was also a huge Jack fan and patterned himself (golf game) after Jack, even down to the putting. This guy called Jack's charge in '86. He said ... "Here he comes, just watch ... just sit back and watch, 'cuz the Bear is making THE charge ....

And we sat back in total amazement. That guy danced around the room for the last 45 minutes of that tourney.

Truly incredible.
