Marketing to draw viewership by using the term "major" as it is known in professional golf.

The guys on this tour made the PGA what it is today. I think they've earned the right to call these tournaments whatever they choose. If they want to declare the winner of a major the world champion of golf, I would have no reservations. Of course, I, and any other rational fan, would understand that the winner is not the best golfer in the world.
