I thought we played a lot better yesterday until I saw the score (I didn't keep score like I had the first day).
141. The first day we had a score of 142.
Turns out I was the only one who played better. I rode with a retired football coach I know who was on the other team. I've never seen anyone eat so much. Everytime I lit up a cigarette I swear he ate a sandwich. Had a cooler full of food, bought some more after the 9th hole, then someone brought him a huge submarine sandwich on the 15th hole. All of it washed down with Miller Lite. He was dragging at the end of the day.
I got there at the last minute, I was ready to tee off at 10:40 (our time was 10:45) but the bitch in charge decided we needed to go early so it made me appear late. I told my teammates I was going with driver all day and firing at every pin. I took one practice swing, then a huge pass at the ball, hit about 6 inches behind it, and rolled it about 45 yards. Nice since the pro was watching. Everyone thought that was pretty funny-
until I then crushed my 3 wood about 270 on my 2nd shot and put it just off the side of the green, chipped on and missed a 6 footer for par. We used my score on the hole, a bogey.
After I got away from the bitch snapping at me for "being late" I started busting the driver out there very well. Shot 82, it should have been better. I had a 5 iron left to the 2nd par 5 for my second shot, huge drive. Missed the damn green, then hit the pin with my chip that I hit too hard, then missed an 8 footer for birdie and made par.
My teammates shot 96 and 97, woo boy.
