OW..and here I am whinging about a little ol pinky toe.....

you could have a hairline fracture too, which are harder to see on X-Ray
you may be right about the hairline fracture

Xrays are able to determine though a hairline fracture esp at a wrist with less muscles. tissues etc to block the vision to the bones. However in Jd's case, it might be that due to the trauma to area with increased bruising and swelling that it's harder to determine a hairline fracture at this point
