Also, if you want to exercise, I personally would not stop just because you gained weight. You aren't for sure that is why and if it is, your body will get accustomed to it, let go of the water retention, and adjust to the exercise. exactly.

there is no way that exercising is causing you to gain fat- that's physiologically impossible, and that's what you're concerned about. it's probably water retention.
