I haven't bought a cookbook, but I've used recipes that people have posted on this message board. I also like phasestoforever.blogspot.com for recipes. The Greek chicken and rosemary ranch chicken are delicious.
I haven't ever tested my hcg. It seems to be working fine. I think you can just use a pregnancy test from the drugstore.
There are no meal replacement bars allowed.
I can check calories online.
I bought a food scale at Target or Walmart. I think it was Taylor brand. It died during my third round. I've been estimating this round. A scale is important and I recommend you buy one.
I kept a great food and weight loss log on my computer during R1. I've used pencil and paper since then.
I do take some supplements, but they aren't necessary.
I'm cheap. I don't like to buy a lot of unnecessary stuff. But if you think buying some of those things will give you more motivation, go for it.
