My mom is in health care, my dad takes daily insuline. She says he uses syringes app. 3-4 times, without extra bleach. He doesn't even use alcohol to disinfect, and she is not worried a bit.

So that's what I've been doing, too. I don't disinfect the syringes/ needles, just keep the cap on in between. I use alcohol swabs to disinfect the skin and the top of the vial, then use syringes 2-3 times. Since I have extra-thin insulin needles, 3 times seems to be the imit before they either bend or become slightly blunt.

P.S. Oh, you were talking about the mixing syringe.... I would just swab it with acohol, then use it again.
