I bought a rotisserie chicken tonight and ate some of it...it was good. Then I read the ingredients and it said soybean oil...yikes!!!! Anyone ate it through P2 and had problems. I am on R3P2 vVLCD 4 and have lost 6lbs.
To ensure maximum and lasting results, I would strongly suggest NOT eating rotisserie chicken during P1, P2, or P3. At the clinic where I help patients on this program, we do NOT allow them Rotisserie chicken. The Dr. Simeons protocol makes it very clear that no sugars or oils are allowed. Many of these super market rotisserie chickens contain oils, high sodium, are very fatty and contain sugar in hidden forms, such as maltodextrin and dextrose. In addition, the protocol states during P2, all visual fat must be trimmed. This is impossible due to the fact the bird is cooked whole on the bone. In the clinic where I work, I've witnessed patients who had eaten Rotisserie chicken in P2 and P3 and ended up having trouble later stabilizing their weight. The most dangerous thoughts you can allow yourself while on HCG are "I can have just a little bite, it won't hurt" or the "Oh I guess it's okay because I still lost". The best rule for the best success on this is don't eat it if you didn't cook it.
