Any advice for getting over the death of a dog?
It's amazing to mw how much a human can love an animal, but my golden retriever Sammy was as much a part of my family as anyone else. She seemed so playful and puppy-like all the way up until about 3 months before her death. We used to comment about how well she was aging and how long she'd live, and then about 3 months ago she had a seizure and we found out she had a brain tumor. After that it was almost all downhill, and she had several more seizures, until about a week ago when she could no longer walk or go to the bathroom, and wouldn't eat. So we had to put her down. I've never cried to hard in my life. How the heck do you get over losing a loved one?!
