Default Is there a way to stop a cat catching birds?
I have an outdoor cat, a 9 year old neutered male. He doesn't go out much but we do leave the windows open and he tends to go out on sunny days. He is usually a very lazy cat, but this year for some reason, more than other years, he has started bringing in dead birds. I tried putting a bell on him, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference, he is getting one a week at the moment, babies I think and he must be starting to dent the population a bit. Is there any other way than a bell that I can let him still go out but protect the birds? Something to deter them from my garden or to make them aware of his presence?

Appreciate any advice, is this a problem for other people?
