We had a cat called Cindy when I was a kid who was a bugger for bringing birds home. My dad tried allsorts to stop her including loading up her collar with bells and reflectors but she found a way around it. She would lie on a branch close to the ground and wait patiently until the poor unsuspecting birdie hopped underneath and then roll into them! Do you know if there is a nest in close proximity? seing as he's bringing babies.....it maybe an increased temptation not present in previous years? Apart from saying bad kitty when he does it though I don't really know of a deterant as its just part of their nature....poor birdies
