Default Calling yourself a CEO
Is it just me, or is calling yourself 'CEO' of your small company a little bit wanky? When I think of the term CEO, I think of big listed corporations with multi-billion dollar market caps and thousands of staff.

These days, it seems anyone who starts up a business with one or more staff is calling themselves a CEO. I think it was the dot com boom that really spurred this trend on.

What do the rest of you think? I've seen a few people on here refer to themselves as CEO, so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts too.

In my opinion, to call yourself a CEO I think you have to be managing a team of managers at the least. If you're just managing your workers, then I think calling yourself CEO is a bit rich.

For the record, I don't even have managing director on my business card, I simply use the title 'Financial Planner' because it best describes what I do.
