Thanks for your response, Toni! It's nice to know there's others out there that do/have struggled with weight issues! (I thought that I was the only one--except my mother!)

Today has progressed nicely, and it's only Day 2! I had my morning cup of coffee with a little heavy cream. I enjoyed bacon and eggs for breakfast, then cooked a lunch for us all of roast, green beans, and rice (I had NO rice) and gravy (just the meat juices--no thickener or additives). For dinner, I'm fixing a nice oxtail stew, small steaks, turnip/mustard greens, and salad. (FINALLY got to the grocery store today, so I can have salads now! YAY!) Of course, I've drunk water, water, and MORE water--no other caffeine other than my morning cup of coffee.

Fortunately, I'm on no HRT, no blood pressure meds, no pills other than my supplements (vitamins). My husband couldn't believe that I lost 4.5 lbs in water overnight! MAYBE, just MAYBE, if I bite the bullet and get that continued support from home (and HERE ), I can do this! I actually see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel!

BTW, workouts start tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Thanks again, Toni. I really needed to hear from someone who understands. As far as the time it'll take to lose the weight, I've got nothing BUT time!
