Hi Matt... welcome to the forum and congrats on your first post!!!
Are you doing Atkins? If so, nuts and nut butters aren't acceptable in the beginning. You can add them back in later on as you increase your carbohydrate intake in OWL (Ongoing Weight Loss) phase. When you DO add it back, it suggested that you use nut butters that only contain nuts... or nuts and salt. I doubt that the palm oil would be TOO bad, but it will up the calories/fat grams in the PNB. It's probably in there to keep the PNB from separating... like all natural pnb does. Palm oil isn't a trans fat unless it says partially hydrogenated palm oil on the ingredient list. It's a saturated fat.
How are you doing? Are you losing? Feeling better? How much do you need to lose... tell us about your journey!!!
One thought to leave you with... we all need to discover what works for our own body. If eating this PNB works for YOU... enjoy it. If you find your wt loss stalls, you might consider eliminating the pnb to see if that's the reason. It's really a big science experiment... so don't be afraid to experiment! LOL
