Hi WMC! I think five pounds in ten days is great!
And, yeah, overdoing the meat can slow down your weight loss. When you eat a lot more protein than your body needs, the excess will be turned into fat, just like with carbs. It just takes more calories worth of protein than carbohydrate because the body has to work harder to digest protein.
I find that fatty beef and pork can slow me down. Better to eat healthy fats like olive oil and flaxseed oil or fatty fish than beef or pork fat.
I'm glad your here! I've been away for a while and am starting new.
It's nice to see some familiar faces.
