Gary,

I was never a big water drinker but found after starting Atkins, that IF I don't drink enough I: (1) get "bottled up" quite badly and (2) don't lose as well.

I forced myself to drink water and after a few weeks it became second nature. Still, if I don't THINK about it, I only do about a litre and I need 2.

How about actually INCREASING your food intake, by adding a serving of yummy low-carb veggies like broccoli, cauliflower or spinach? The first two are great with butter and cheese, and spinach or any variety of greens (collards, kale, turnip) is good American Southern style simmered in chicken broth with bacon. The body needs something tangible to work off.

I added flax to keep problem #1 at bay. I couldn't believe it often made a total difference of 2 pounds, thanks to the accompanying bloating! Who would have thought...
