If it is KP, I doubt it's diet related. KP's genetic. Most references I read say it's common on the back of arms and thighs. Not one mentioned hands. Most said that KP is itchy, too.

Have you been exposed to a new cleaning product, or bought a new hand soap recently? Have you done any painting... or a new hobby? Just looking for something that might cause a contact dermatitis. Those mostly itch, though.

Have you consider going to a dermatologist?

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced a skin condition during the initial onset of Ketosis, or during Ketosis.

For lack of a better comparison - it looks like Keratosis Pilaris.

Yes, I did go to my doctor.

My doctor says it is not Keratosis Pilaris—although it does look similar. It is not itchy—which is contra to the symptoms of Keratosis Pilaris.

My doctor suggested stopping Atkins altogether, as he is not a fan of it.

My doctor also said that I may have idiopathic skin condition—advised me to drink more water and gave me the Antihistamines and Hydrocortisone Cream.

The skin issue, however, has improved with an increase in water intake and the longer I am in Ketosis.

I have not changed cleaning products.

I do not have a new hobby, or doing anything around the house, i.e. painting.

I am not allergic to any food, or drink.

Yay idiopathic skin conditions!
