Thanks for taking the time to reply. I then went on to have the cramps continually, as I say like lots of little needles abdomen, upper body, back but not legs or arms. I came to the conclusion it was not the chocolate as I didn't have any more and continued to get the cramps.

Did a bit of research about potassium and effects of not having enough, reluctantly ate quarter of a banana at breakfast (about 5 carbs and the same later on in the day and, bingo no cramps since.

I am taking a multi vit daily but upon closer inspection, it does not contain any potassium, don't know why but I think maybe i've discovered the source of the problem.
