Having done Atkins successfully about 8 years ago, I do remember being disappointed after the wonderful early days of losing several pounds a week. The loss does slow down and sometimes, from memory, your body does hang on to the weight for a few days - but if you persist in the diet and do not do anything wrong you should be able to start moving the weight loss in the right direction again. The trick is not to give up first...your body has to give up trying to hang on to your weight!

Make sure you are drinking enough water and also take into account any hormonal changes that might be taking place. Stick at it and let us know how you get on after another four days.

One good tip is to also take your measurements - sometimes you see changes in your measurements even when there appears to be no weight loss. This helps you to realise that you are still losing no matter what the scales may temporarily say.

Sorry its not wonderful advice - there are lots of fantastic people on this forum who give brilliant advice, but as no one had replied to you yet, I thought I'd just add my penny's worth.

Well done on your weight loss!!
