I over weigh myself. My weight fluctuates through-out the day as does everyone's. It is generally (lowest to highest ) AM after waking, after exercising, returning home from work, after lunch, immediately after dinner, and just before retiring for the night (combination of dinner and fluids taken at night).

Generally speaking, immediately after eating, every thing that you put into yourself shows up as weight. It does not matter what it is, how salty, how fatty, etc. After a few hours, you body processes the food. So some is excreted and some is absorbed. I forget the actual timing -- and it depends what you are ingesting, and where in the digestive system that food is processed, and when waste is removed. In addition, your normal metabolism is consuming energy (burning food or fat or glycogen resources) and losing water and carbon dioxide, etc.

Some people like lots of data points. Others obsess over them. The generally preferred plan is to weigh yourself once a week in the morning. In between stay on plan and let your body sort it out for you.
