How much is "too much" protein? I thought you could consume unlimited quantities of protein during the induction phase?
Unlimited? No... eat to your hunger. Atkins suggests starting with 4 to 6 oz. If, after eating that AND your vegetables, you're still physically hungry you can have another serving. Overeating is overeating... nothing is "unlimited". Except maybe water. LOL You should know that if there's an excess of protein in your low carb diet that your body can, and will, produce glucose from it.

How much is too much? Be reasonable... start with a standard serving, add more IF and only IF you are truly still hungry. Always remind yourself that if you get hungry... you can have more. The diet mentality can mess with your head. If you think, it's dinner... I don't get to eat again until morning... so I'll eat more right now, while I can, because it's still dinner. Start to really listen to your hunger signal. If you're hungry... EAT. If you're not... think about it. Unless it's been several hours since your last meal or snack, skip eating. If it's been a while, have a snack size portion.

As in all things, moderation is key.
