Ok so I didn't read the book. I jumped right into eliminating carbs.
I will add almond butter to my diet this week (2TBSP's a day). I also need to read the book. I'm going to stick with the protein shakes (not atkins - gold standard which has 1g carb and almost no fat just 24g of protein). I want to fuel my muscles cuz I do strength training. It might be possible my body is going into starvation mode and that is why the ketostix dont turn purple anymore. Hopefully by adding this extra fat calories to my diet my body will go out of starvation mode.
I will start adding vegetables after this week is over.
