Hi there dinky from the UK. I read your thread and welcome. I have to agree with Tril, what most people tend to forget is that the atkins diet is a lifestyle change. Once you lose the weight and if you go back to your old ways of eating you will gain the weight back. I'm not saying that you can never have milk or baked potato, but you can't have it everyday. If you stick with atkins and exercise or do some physical activity the weight will come off.

good luck and hang in there. If you start my advice would be to take your measurements and keep track of that. I've put my scale away and have decided to go by my measurements and how my clothes fit. The scale and play tricks on you when you think you aren't losing when you are with inches..
