Hi! Intro
Hello all, My name is Renee, I am a 27 year old mom of a almost 2 year old hellion and I am overweight!
I did atkins and loved it back when I was in nursing school. I lost 30 lbs and almost reached the maintenance phase...then I graduated, started working, and everything went down the tubes.
I yo-yo'ed up and down for the next few years, mostly staying in the 170s-180s when I got pregnant and had a miscarriage. After that, I ate myself firmly into the 190s where I found myself pregnant with my son. Pregnancy was just a big green light to eat whatever i wanted and I ended up at about 250 lbs when I had him. I dropped down to 214 right afterwards and then slowly creeped up to 225 supposedly following Atkins maintenance, as nursing mothers are supposed to do.
I ended up counting calories, and started running. I ran 3 5ks and a 10k, but still my weight remained at 195 at the lowest. Counting calories worked, but I always went over. Eventually I got discouraged and stopped working out and this is pretty much wher eI am now. I felt out of control. Then I remembered how good I felt on Atkins. How in control of myself.
I can't waste time anymore. I have to do this. I am pretty much done nursing (he maybe nurses every other day, if that) so I started induction today. The cravings are there, but I don't have quite the induction flu just yet Smile I'm re-reading the book and am very excited. The only thing i'm worried about is that I will not be able to run. I'd really like to get back into it.
Anyway, I've written a novel here, but there's my intro! I look forward to getting to know you all.
