For some reason, I think a number of non-carb fans (aka civilians) are married to like carb-nuts like us. (My hubby and I fit that pattern) I've learned that contemplating what my husband can eat without problems is just another way for me to obsess with food. So I try to take him out of the equation. I figure it's just an accident of genetics and really not relevant to my WOE. After all, my DH's vision is rapidly getting worse while, at 50, I've still got (knock wood) 20/20 eyesight.

Don't worry about what abilities others have that you don't...You are doing here what you need to take care of you and that's very important. With a part-time job and part-time single parenthood of a toddler, it doesn't sound like you get much "me" time.

Good luck and write often. And besides... you and I aren't short...we're height challenged!
