Default Its been my understanding that you can eat more quantity?
That's the way I've always read it, now granted my Atkins books are a bit more out of date than some I see quoted here, but my whole understanding of atkins was that as long as you restrict the carbs, its hard to impossible for your body to create new fat.

This isn't to say you should eat 6,000 calories a day, but I was always under the impression that finishing off that 24 oz porterhouse steak was no big deal, or sneaking 4 burgers off the plate when no one was looking wasn't going to make an impact.
