Hi Taz,

As a fellow Aussie, I agree with the wide variety of low carb beers out there.

Some good ones (for the low carbness not the taste) are pure blonde, hahn super-dry, tooheys extra-dry, sapporo. Generally the dry beers are low carb. But stay away from the heavier ales and stouts.

I've found that's its ok to have the odd beer, provided you count the carbs. I wouldn't have them until well into OWL. Beer, like caffiene and aspartame can cause funny fluctuations and stalls in some people. Mind you when you take beer, your body will try to burn up the alcohol first before burning up the carbs - so drinking in moderation would be advised.
