Downton Abbey Season Two Final- What a show!! After two tumultuous seasons, true love! Standby for Season 3.

The Walking Dead- First a gun fight, then an evil look! Things are bound to heat up between Rick and Shane, over Lori while she whispers in Rick's ear how dangerous Shane is.... You see when she thought Rick was dead, she and Shane....well, guess.

What new show would you recommend for me? Bare in mind I don't find much time to sit and watch them anymore so I would prefer something which isn't too far in! You seem like a man who knows his TV Shows well.
It may appear so, but the shows I watch are very limited and most of them are serialized (sequential episodes that build on each other) which would not be good for a casual viewer, unless you could get them on demand or on disk and watch on your schedule. There is tons of stuff I don't even bother with and hardly any are regular network shows (here in the U.S.). The shows I'm watching now are:

* Modern Family- Outstanding 30 min comedy (ABC).
* Game of Thrones- Simply incredible (HBO, serialized). And the book is in my top ten list.
* Dexter- Outstanding Serial Killer show, he only kills bad people, convenient since he works for the Miami Police Dept. (Showtime, serialized).
* The Walking Dead- Outstanding apocalyptic zombie show (serialized, AMC).
* Downton Abbey- Outstanding historical drama set in 1920's England. Season 2 just finished on PBS here in the States. I believe it showed in England earlier in the year.
* Southland- Pretty good cop drama set in L.A.
* The Killing- Outstanding serialized murder mystery on AMC.

Older shows:
*Rome (HBO)- Incredible during it's glory days, serialized.
*Deadwood(HBO)- Outstanding Western, based on Deadwood, South Dakota, serialized.
*Sopranos (HB)). Gangsters in New Jersey, outstanding, serialized.
