Egypt--considered a moderate Muslim population and a friend of the United States is now under a surge of protests. News media is covering this--while Obama and Hillary Clinton are calling for the government to address the concerns of their citizens--human rights, etc. Of course the protestors were on U.S. national media tonight showing a disgust with Americans because the rubber bullets and tear gas used to break up these protests came from the United States--and Oh by the way why aren't we doing something about it.

Some media are stating that the Al Jazzera network--whom are very friendly to muslim extremists have started thies protests. Now while all Americans are against dictatorships--and certainly Egypt has been under the same dictatorship for the last 30 years--the citizens there feel there needs to be a change?

Watching the news tonight--what concerned me was--when several of the protestors were asked why they were protesting--the only comment that was shown--was that they were "tired" of this dictatorship--while blaming the US for rubber bullets and tear gas. No specifics--like we want our freedom to select our government officials--nothing like those kind of comments. Then the next thing that was very disturbing to me--is that these protestors--took the time to sit on their mats for prayer time--right in the middle of all of this commotion.

Now--I really don't know how many of you remember the Shaw of Iran. Iran--back in those days looked like small town America--with educated women dressing in Western clothes--free to walk the streets--and everyone looking happy. A protest such as this started--and now we have radical Mullahs running Iran--with threats of WMD continually pointed at Isreal and of course the United States--while the entire population is oppressed--and shot with real bullets if they disagree with this dicatorship.

So what is going in Egpyt is kind of scary right now. Is this the Muslim Brotherhood doing this-a radical group of Islamic extremists-or what?
