where would we be now

if Tesla and Da Vinci got together ( early 1900's ) with unlimited $$$

Tesla and Leonardo are my 2 " what if / lets try this " heros

i had a chance to work with a few comparably gifted engineers in Silicon Valley, and a few i watched "from afar" - never worked directly worked with them.

it is a privilege to work with people like that, or even to have known them. i learned a lot from them.

fortunately one - Bill O. - was 'normal' (laid back, not obnoxious), he simply ran rings around everybody in the field of microwave instrumentation. that engineering team basically designed the instrument set that facilitated the development of current day wireless.

one other example - Carl Rosendahl, started Pacific Data Images in the early 1980's, which was later sold to Spielberg and is now Dreamworks Animation. Carl developed the television & animation hardware (like a Radius Video Vision) and the software (like 3D Studio Max) in the 1980's. To do just one of those things is extraordinary; to do both is near God-like.

I would have to compare Bill O's skill level and Carl Rosendahl's skill level to that of Edison & Tesla.
