Can you read actual DATA, not newsletters written by dummies?
http://mazamascience.com/OilExport/

Also, just curious, why are they drilling so far offshore, go to war in Iraq, hold off for high prices to use Canadian tar sands, use distructive and short-lived fracking, if apparently there's no decline in conventional oil production? I'm sure answer is "they are all consipatorial, UN-agenda-21 globalists".

The simple math of energy, the energy returned over energy invested (ERoEI), which has steadily declined from 100:1 in the days of poking a ground with a stick oil in the 1930s in Texas, to about 15:1 today. Once this indicator is close to 1:1, there will be no way to get any energy eventhough oil could be everywhere, because you would need the same amount of energy or more to get it.
Yes, FreeEnergy we can all read. Just who paid for that data site you provided? Who is paying the researchers? Just wondering.

Oil exploration? Seems it's been an Environmental fight for a longtime. Go ahead and lobby for drilling in ANWAR, I'm with ya!

So which one it is , SmartGrowth or control farming?
SmartGrowth is being pushed by EPA.

Here's some interesting read about the EPA over stepping their own laws and intimidating an Idaho couple:

Another EPA power grab:

I haven't researched the outcome; but believe me--they want it all.

Compact houses ARE more energy efficient.
Since I can't figure just what you are arguing here; here's some facts from the article:

The European Union has adopted regulations that ban the construction of single-family homes beginning in 2020. These new dwellings, called passive houses will be “zero-energy buildings”. To control urban communities in so far as “tangible spatial” development and the literal process of construction, Germany is creating policies that facilitate “compact” housing that is more “energy efficient”. It's about regulations and control, not the fact that compact house are more energy efficient.
