Last night my nephew was over for a visit and he told me last winter they were snowmobiling B.C. interior a few miles from the US border in the mountains in the middle of the wilderness when they came across a hippie type guy dressed in jeans, running shoes and a light jacket with a guitar strapped to his back walking in snow up past his hips. He wanted to know which way it was to Ontario?
He was freezing cold so they picked him up but first he insisted they take him back to his camp so they go there and here he had climbed way up a pine tree and whacked off a bunch of branches to sleep on and for cover had a crude fire pit dug in the snow and was trying to melt snow in a tin cup for drinking water.
My nephew said gauging by the shape he was in he doubts he would have lasted a couple more days.
They dropped him off at the border crossing as it was the closest civilization in the area.
I wonder what the authorities did with him?
