On the heels of what I just said,

I don't believe in UFO's or aliens being here. If they have the tech. to come here -- why be so secretive? why not just show up and say, "We're here!". We would have any weapons that could harm them.

Its part of the "Prime Directive"

All's they can do is steal our rare Earth minerals before we get a chance to know how to use them.
