I know how you feel! I fostered an Am Staff bitch who looked to have been nursing a litter... but no one claimed her from AC so I pulled her. She collected about 14 stuffed animals/toys/objects and nursed them/cleaned them/etc. for four weeks before leaving them random places in the house one by one and ignoring them. While it was going on, I remember thinking... "When will she be over it already?!" and then when she was... I sort of missed it lol
