The lucky thing is that I could control the boys. Usually once someone starts it they wanna finish it but they did very well tonight. If they HAD been ready to rumble I wouldn't be able to guarantee their dogs safety... my dogs usually won't START anything but Cain and Taz (Rott mix and GSD mix) WILL finish it if they're in the mood to. Then again...the dog was probably in more danger from the owner (me). I don't play around with my dogs safety. Added to that is my SIL with her Chi, isn't physically capable to help pull fighting dogs apart, added to that the other owners wouldn't be able to make it across the field in time to stop any serious damage....and they probably would have gotten mad at ME.
