Honestly, and it sounds stupid, but I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY warn against you getting a pit bull if you are allergic to dogs. Pit bulls shed, they also have very irritatingly short fur and oily coats. Not really good for allergy sufferers. My gf is allergic to dogs. That's why she has poodles. Since I moved in with my two dogs, her allergies and asthma have gotten worse.

Anyway, I understand you want a dog, but a pit bull is definitely not a good dog for people with dog allergies.
