He is fat compared to how I want him to be lol now compared to 90% of other peoples house dogs, no he isnt fat per say, just out of shape.

I can see a lot of potential in him and its crappy when you have a set back like he has with his paw. The good time for Arizona winter is being spent on the couch!

I think he will too. He loves to get out and do anything and he was so frustrated yesterday when I took him for a little half lap in the grass around my complex. He thinks he is fine, and is ready to go, even though it would split his pad so fast.
