The ridge is actually caused by a genetic spinal defect, but people breed for it because people are stupid. Ridgeless Ridgebacks used to be culled, but people are starting to get a clue and keep them alive.

Yep. I mean, having some with no ride doesnt make them not ridgebacks, and I mean its much better when breeding for a "defect" to out cross with dogs that dont have it to make the stock healthier, right?
Thats the exact reason I want my brother to get the ridgeless..
