I went to an ADBA weight pull 2 summers ago and I would NOT recommend bringing your Bear. The way the one I went to was set up had the show ring in one building and the weight pull track in another. They asked that no one allow their dogs into the buildings because some dogs participating were DA and the presence of other dogs distracted them. All dogs participating were kept in crates until they were up.

I wanted to bring my dogs, but I am glad I did not. I saw a few people who wanted to go into the buildings to watch and couldn't unless someone was willing to keep their dogs for them.

Of course, some asshat with a dog tried to walk through the weight pull building while there was a pull in progress. The APBT that was pulling saw the dog, jumped off the track mid-pull, and tried to get to it. The asshat was loudly asked to take his dog back outside and the dog pulling got a do over.

Its not ADBA I think its APA or something, I emailed the people and they said he had to be kenneled once it started, but its going to be outside down the street from my house, not even a block, and in a church parking lot (they are huge spaces in AZ) so he wont be to far from me.
I might not even bring him because of his foot. I just want to see some dogs pull

Eww, that's just awful! I was hoping it was just not liking strangers and not poor breeding. Wonder how long it will be before Ridgebacks get popular enough to start showing up on the BSL lists.
Hell without paperwork and probably even with some they could fall under as a "bully" breed because most people dont know what they are or what they look like, especially the ridgeless!
