Yeah, Greys are fragile, that's the only thing I don't like about them. If there were any Magyar breeders near me I'd have to have one, lol, although it's really difficult for me to imagine liking them more than I like Greys. I just love racing hounds, it's what I grew up with and I never got over it.

The breeder I know just bred the very first American-born litter of Magyars earlier this year lol so there aren't really many "breeders" out there. I think there is another litter being planned - you should get in touch with her if you are really interested I also of an adult female available

Greyhound skin is their downfall. It rips way too easy. I don't think there has been one hiking trip that mine haven't had an injury! Biggest vet bills for Greyhounds is stitches! When my old boy Linus was alive, I don't think a year went by when we didn't have one major trip to the E-vet for stitches and drain tubes for him b/c he alway made sure the regular vet was closed before he got hurt! Although skin glue is my savor for small tears!

Their skin, and their heat intolerance! Grey owner/handlers in the field have to carry SO much water, and have an emergency cool-off kiddie pool and kit in the judge's vehicle.
